A LITTLE TIME FOR NATURE

Till 28th of December 2009, I was in my tour to my 51st country Haiti. Before leaving, I took some snaps to capture the peculiarity of Haiti. Among those, I had liked the architect of Presidential building most. And just a couple of week later; on January 12,2010 I heard about a devastating earthquake that took lives of more than 316000 people and destroyed a lot of buildings and property including the presidential building.

Now, as the news of a devastating hurricane stroke the world before the hurricane Sandy itself did, I was on continuous update of the news and worried about the people in hurricane prone area. I was praying for no casualties. Also because I have felt a violent natural disaster not exactly but closely.

A lot of arguments have been aroused for and against the impact of climate change on the Hurricane Sandy. No one can completely accuse the natural calamity to such factor. Yet, I believe the saying: “Climate change very likely made the Sandy’s impacts worse than there otherwise would have been”. Despite of the increasing concern in security and development in technologies we have witnessed historic and exceptionally strong natural disasters that have been causing a lot of harm.

Nature is unpredictable and its cycle is uncontrollable. Although there are some factors that are human induced and might adversely affect nature. As a messenger of peace and environment protection, I request everyone to follow healthy and environment friendly habits so that we could reduce the adverse effect we cause to the environment which might finally affect all of us.

I am happy to share you all about my tour on bicycle. And by this I just want to request that we could start developing healthy and eco-friendly habits to perform our little duties towards developing a sustainable healthy environment.

Peace and Harmony,
