Not Differently – Equally Able

While travelling with my inner self I used to think, what would be the good deed that we could do, for those people whom we recognize as a Human Being without H and B. Here I meant differently able people as per the constitution of Nepal. Are they actually differently able? The answer is No, we have to make them so by treating equitably. There, right there we want to act The FURTEMBA FOUNDATION. Because living life titled as a disabled person is hard enough, and discriminating against the handicapped isn’t making their lives any better but worse.Not-Differently-300x168

Not only in Nepal people with disabilities or impairment are among the most vulnerable and marginalized individuals in the world. Due to their exclusion factors, they suffer from stigma and have to overcome social obstacles in order to exercise their rights and meet their most basic needs. The disabled have been discriminated from their childhood, in attending school to being an adult trying to get a job.

During my staying in Cameroon I had that great opportunity to meet Mr Angono Antangoana a employee as a customer care relation chief since 2004 in one of the well recognized office in Yaoundé capital of Cameroon. And he is differently able person with very charming nature. I want to share some of his vibes from our conversation we have during my stay in Cameroon.

He was not handicapped by birth it happened back then in 1998 when he was with his wife somewhere inside yaounde. On his own word he said- “we were coming back from the national park some 5 to 7 people came with their guns and knives from nowhere we were scared to death, I tried to defend them and they attacked me on my head first and chopped my hand off, we didn’t knew there motive they don’t even ask us money. I was bleeding to death it was theo god who saved me.”

Further as we talk about those people who are like him he clarify that in 21st century technologies, science and new inventions are the achivement we tend to attain for which we needs education not the parts of our body. So, education should be given from the childhood to every child; if the children are well educated while they are small then they won’t have any problem in future even if they became disabled.

As we talked about respective countries that we two belong I find same scenarios like in Nepal, 1st Cameroonian government has also been making very beautiful plan and policy for the people who are different able. 2nd the middleman between government and citizens are not doing their job fairly. This proves that lack of responsibility is the key reason that despite of having plan and policy, handicapped people are being daunted. But amongst bunch of rotten potato he picks the mayor of Yaoundé as their calling card because as per Mr. Angono the mayor is one who is actually doing something for disabled people with actual benefits as per their needs of their daily life.Not-Differently-4-320x210

As we further

My name Is Mr Angono Antangoana and Nana Pascaline

I am really happy I met you last Tuesday. I was really happy that I met you

Is your coutry supporting you people….

What do you think about the infrastructures of handicapped people?

….it is the problem of government and the prob is that our country is not a developed country it is developing but I think nextime the chief of our country will make some effort to make the sweet way to handicapped peoples. But now we continue to live in under developing.

What do you think about the environment of this country?

….you know that in under development country when you look at our country the the cars we used here Is already used in Europe…and the mentality of the peoples are very very bad  if you look at somebody on the river they throw things everywhere that is about the mentality that they are not educated.

What do you think about the people peeing everywhere I mean lack of sanitary proplem??

……that is also the problem about the people uneducated people…..yes government is also planning on that thing also done. The mayor of the city has made toilets but You know if people have some kind of bad habbits then it is hard to leave that.

This is a agricultural country…what do you think about agriculture.

…I think it is the problem about production we have also prob for sweet way for the people who live there to brought their product from their village to here. There are many many pace good for agriculture but way is the problem. When you are in camerron, the people who live in gabon, gini equaterrail come to Cameroon for agriculture. They come in different places of Cameroon for food because it is cheap here then there country.

Which district I more good for agriculture?

…..you look at our country the everything is green. Millets, ground nuts, pea nuts the lots of thing.
