A Place in Heart

It is always very nice to meet such people who wish for the same comfort for others as they wish for themselves to have, eventually such people makes the perfect place in our heart as a friend; during my surfing and suffering in Abuja Umesh ji, Pragya ji and many friends have helped me a lot and made that place in my heart and I hope they let me in their heart as well. When Nigeria’s stay gave me adventures which were bit heavier than my shoulders could carry, I was overwhelmed when I got the power gained from the affection of my fellow well wishers. I will always be in debt for that flawless help you all have given me.

I started my journey to Abuja on 5th of July from Makurdi which is the capital of Benue state. On the first day I stayed at Lafia the capital of Nasarrawa state. Entering Nasarrawa state was good and welcoming as well, people in here were very polite. Closed circuit camera was all around which made me think I would be secure from the time being. On the go, I made to the capital Abuja.

Monday on 8th of July I enrolled myself totally with my personal activities. On the 9th my day started with a strong slap on my cheek by an unknown man because of unknown reason. Although later that day went good. We had a small gathering with Nepalese and waiting for a generous and benevolent Indian man to spent some time. It was again some good times and I am thankful for the support he has provided for my journey of peace and environment.a place in heart4

I schedule my day to tour Abuja city I visited National Television of Nigeria and scheduled a short interview and a talk show for 10th of July and returned. While meeting Narayan ji I met Ram ji a very influential person with a Nepali restaurant in Abuja city. It was my great opportunity to meet such wonderful and benevolent people, I could never forget their help and generosity for having me there.

During my stay here I was frequently distracted by some of the force of inhumanity on several modes of circumstances. It all started on 10th of July when I left Umesh ji’s home for an interview at national television, it was about 8 in the morning a gentle looking guy asked me for my passport and document I refused to give him, because passport is what secure my identity in foreign land, how could I give such an important thing to a random guy on the street then bunch of people with that gentle guy started to waggle me. I kept them calm for a while and agreed to go to the police. Eventually I was concluded fine after thorough search through my stuff but those guys were not satisfied by police checking then they took me to military again same process repeated only god knows why, I was again taken to another higher authority then finally I resulted out clean and after 5 hours of suffering they left me at national television office.

I think in today’s world there is now near-universal consensus that all individuals are entitled to certain basic rights under any circumstances. These include certain civil liberties and political rights, the most fundamental of which is the right to life and physical safety. Human rights are the articulation of the need for justice, tolerance, mutual respect, and human dignity in all of our activity. Speaking of rights allows us to express the idea that all individuals are part of the scope of morality and justice. But my stay in Nigeria doesn’t fit on the gist of basic humanity; I was compelled to open all my back pack on the random street, in the hotel, in footpath wherever; whenever.a place in heart7

To some extent I was stressed out, but after an interview and taking part in a talk show in national television I regained my enthusiasm because after that I find how much I was blessed with the lots and lots of people known or unknown. I would like to thank all the believers and specially to Nigeria National Television.a place in heart8

I must name and express my deepest gratitude to Hakeem Sunmonu, Bola Oyemi and Cecil Egbele from the television for boosting up my morale and enthusiasm.

After handing my passport and documents to Naresh Manander ji for Legos I left Abuja staying 5 days on 12th of July at the noon.

These 5 days are very memorable to me I lived very hospitably, travelled gratifyingly, suffered nearly intolerably and learned the lesson to pedal Carefully, Curiously and Courteously.
